What are Companies in StatStream?

In StatStream, companies represent external entities that can be categorized into two types: Vendors and Customers.

  • Vendors: Companies that provide goods or services.
  • Customers: Companies that receive services or products.

This categorization helps in managing and tracking interactions, contracts, and service agreements efficiently within the system.

How to Create Companies in StatStream

To create a new company in StatStream, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Administration tab on the top bar.
  2. Go to Companies in the left-side pane.
  3. Click on the New Company button on the top left side.
  4. Fill in the required details in the form:
    • Company Name*: Enter the name of the company to identify them in the system.
    • Company Type*: Choose the company type (e.g., VENDOR, CUSTOMER).
    • Address #1*: Provide the primary address of the company.
    • Address #2: Enter additional address details of the company, if applicable.
    • City*: Enter the city where the company is located.
    • State*: Enter the state or region where the company operates.
    • Country*: Enter the country where the company is based.
    • Contact No #1*: Enter the support contact number (e.g., +91 82845***78).
    • Contact No #2: Enter an alternative contact number.
    • Contact No #3: Enter an additional alternative contact number.
    • Email #1*: Enter the primary email address.
    • Email #2: Enter an alternative email address.
    • Email #3: Enter a backup email address.
    • Company Status*: Choose the current status of the company (e.g., ACTIVE).
    • Tax Identification Number: Enter the Tax Identification Number (e.g., PAN, GST, VAT, or equivalent) as provided by your government or tax authority.
    • Additional Details: Provide any extra relevant information.
  5. Click Save to finalize and store the company details.

Once created, the company information will be available for tracking and management within the system.
