Parts Required
Parts Required is a formal request or instruction detailing the specific part required, initiating the process of procurement or allocation from existing inventory to fulfill the requirement. It is essential to
- Officially request needed parts.
- Stay informed on part delivery status.
How to Create a Part Request from a Work Order
In StatStream, you can request a physical component or a service from a Work Order. To make a formal part request, follow these steps:

Navigate to Work Orders:
- Select the Work Orders from the top navigation bar.

Create New Work Order or use the existing Work Order:
- Click on the New Work Order button on the top right side OR click on the existing work order.

Navigate to the Required Parts tab:
- Scroll down the Work Order information page, click on Required Parts tab.

Fill Required Part Details:
- Provide the following details:
- Part Name: Enter the name of the part you want to formally request.
- Requested Qty.: Enter the quantity needed.
- Unit of Measurement: (selected by default)
- Provide the following details:

Add the requirement:
- Click on the Add button to add the request of a part.
View the Parts Requests
To view the formal request/s of the inventory parts, follow these steps :
- Navigate to the Administration tab in the top navigation bar.
- Click on Parts Request in the left sidebar.
NOTE :
- The STATUS of the parts requested is visible in the Work Order Timeline.
- The status at the time of the request is REQUESTED.
Change the Status of the Parts Request
The status of the requested parts includes REQUESTED, REJECTED, ON-HOLD, APPROVED, & DELIVERED.
- Navigate to the Parts Request section in the left sidebar.
- Click on the intended request for a path.
- Change the Status by selecting the appropriate option from the dropdown list.
NOTE : The DELIVERED status option will only be visible in the dropdown list after the part status is changed to APPROVED.
Return the unused quantity of the part
If a quantity of the requested part remains after the requirement has been fulfilled, return the surplus to the inventory for future use.
- Navigate to the Parts Requests section in the left sidebar.
- Click on the intended request for a part.
- Enter the amount of the part to be returned in the Returned Qty.
- Click on the Save button.
NOTE :
- The field Returned Qty will only be visible in the form after the parts requested status is updated to DELIVERED.
